Asset Management
Project Overview
The transmission system operator initiated a strategic shift from time-based to condition-based maintenance to optimise asset lifecycle performance and costs. The objective was to actively monitor asset health, anticipate maintenance and inspection needs, and improve overall reliability, productivity and cost efficiency.
This transformation was enabled through the implementation of an Asset Performance Management (APM) platform integrating risk-based decision support across multiple asset fleets.
Scope of Services Provided
- End-to-end support for APM implementation across all project phases
- Development and integration of risk models into the APM tool, including:
- Asset ageing models
- Health index calculation
- Criticality assessment framework
- Deployment of the risk model across different asset families
- Design and implementation of decision-making processes and governance structure
- Definition of data acquisition and data management strategies to ensure model accuracy and data quality
- Change management support and training across impacted teams
Project Outcome
The program enabled the transition to a structured, risk-based and condition-driven maintenance strategy supported by a digital decision platform. It strengthened asset health visibility, improved prioritisation of maintenance interventions, enhanced system reliability, and contributed to long-term lifecycle cost optimisation across the transmission network.
