EGI supported a transmission system operator in reviewing and strengthening the strategic positioning of its grid business within an evolving regulatory framework. The assignment focused on optimising cost structures and revenue generation under the existing regulatory scheme, while ensuring alignment with broader societal objectives.

In parallel, EGI developed guidelines and recommendations to support the operationalisation and unbundling of a future independent grid company, including regulatory, organisational, and corporate governance aspects.

The work also included an in-depth analysis of the current regulatory context and international unbundling models, leading to the development of a future-proof remuneration and tariff structure. The project concluded with a clear regulatory roadmap covering upcoming regulatory periods, providing a structured pathway for implementation and long-term regulatory certainty.
