Provision of technical advisory services to an infrastructure investor in the context of the potential acquisition of a high-voltage transmission network operator in Australia. The assignment supported investment decision-making through in-depth technical, operational, and strategic assessment of the target company.

• Conducted benchmarking and analysis of technical asset data to assess asset condition and performance.

• Reviewed and challenged the projected capital investment program, including scope, cost assumptions, and delivery risks.

• Assessed asset maintenance strategies, operational performance, risk management practices, and technical management capabilities.

• Evaluated business structure, grid planning processes, and investment planning frameworks.

• Provided insights on network challenges associated with the transition from traditional generation to renewable energy, including the assessment of proposed renewable energy hubs (scale, capacity, economics, risks, and market uptake).

• Analyzed future Capex and Opex requirements, including investment needs to integrate new renewable generation entrants.

• Supported the development of a draft post-acquisition business plan, including organizational structure, procurement and delivery models, risk management systems, grid development strategy, capital projects, and operating cost structure.
