Project Scope:
Enhancement of an adequacy patch post-processing script to simulate curtailment minimization and sharing rules within a day-ahead market coupling algorithm, enabling improved analysis of electricity market adequacy across multiple regions.
Services Provided:
Extended the geographical scope of the post-processing script to handle an arbitrary number of market nodes.
Cleaned, rationalized, and documented existing R code, packaging it as a reusable R library.
Conducted simulations in the market simulation environment and analyzed outputs to validate the methodology.
Performed methodical comparisons between the post-processing results and the original market simulation outputs.
Produced detailed reporting on differences and ensured the prototype met functional and methodological requirements.
Project Outcome:
Delivered a robust, scalable, and well-documented R-based tool that enhanced market adequacy analysis, validated against simulation results, and supported more reliable decision-making for market operation and planning.
