We've got a medal to show off!
Elia Grid International has been awarded a Bronze Medal by EcoVadis, the world’s most trusted business sustainability rating. The recognition places EGI in the top 35% of companies in Belgium assessed by the agency.
For EGI, whose mission is centred on solving the energy transition’s most complex challenges, the award is about more than a label. It’s an external acknowledgement that sustainability is shaping not just what the company delivers, but how it delivers it.
What EcoVadis looks at
EcoVadis assesses companies across four key areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Its ratings are used by corporations, governments, and investors around the world to evaluate the sustainability performance of their partners and suppliers, making it one of the most recognised benchmarks in the field.
A milestone for our teams
Earning the Bronze Medal is the result of efforts spread across every part of the organisation, from procurement decisions and workplace practices to ethical standards and environmental responsibility. It reflects a shared commitment to building a more responsible business, day after day.
The recognition also opens doors. As sustainability expectations rise across the industry, an EcoVadis rating is increasingly becoming a reference point for clients and partners when choosing who to work with.
Looking ahead
Bronze marks an encouraging starting point, not a finish line. EGI’s ambition is to continue strengthening its performance across all four EcoVadis pillars in the coming assessment cycles, and to keep embedding sustainability deeper into how the company operates and grows.
For now, it’s a moment worth celebrating: a meaningful step on EGI’s journey to enable a cleaner, fairer, and more sustainable energy future.
