Project Scope
Strategic and technical advisory support for the development of a fully renewable-based power system architecture. The assignment supported a cross-functional transformation program covering market design, technical architecture, regulation, digital & AI integration, customer experience, organizational setup, and strategic oversight.
The objective was to establish a robust governance structure, assess design maturity, and consolidate an optimized Functional Grid Design aligned with sustainability, affordability, and system reliability targets.
Key Responsibilities & Achievements
1. Governance Framework Development
- Mapped internal and external stakeholders involved in grid design and decision-making processes.
- Designed a structured technical decision-making framework to ensure transparent, traceable, and justified design choices.
- Defined performance-driven KPIs applicable across design, construction, and operational phases.
- Established governance mechanisms to ensure alignment across technical, regulatory, market, and digital streams.
2. Status Quo Assessment & Gap Identification
- Performed techno-economic review of technical documentation from OEMs and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Assessed design maturity and identified structural gaps relative to an optimized Functional Grid Design.
- Evaluated CAPEX/OPEX implications of alternative system configurations.
- Formulated targeted initiatives to close technical and governance gaps.
- Facilitated cross-functional technical workshops to drive alignment and consensus.
3. Functional Design Consolidation
- Developed executive-level summaries outlining selected design options, evaluation criteria, and trade-offs.
- Produced detailed technical position papers documenting architecture decisions and system rationale.
- Structured recommendations to ensure long-term scalability, operational resilience, and cost efficiency.
Outcome
Delivered a consolidated governance framework and Functional Grid Design documentation supported by techno-economic validation. Strengthened cross-program coordination, improved decision transparency, and enabled the structured development of a resilient, fully renewable-based energy system.
