Advisory support to develop a streamlined process for managing high volumes of renewable energy connection requests, addressing network capacity constraints, and reforming interconnection procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements:

• Conducted global best-practice review of queue management and interconnection processes in Europe and North America, identifying effective strategies for managing large RES project backlogs.

• Documented key elements, lessons learned, and recommendations in a comprehensive Benchmark Report.

• Facilitated two stakeholder workshops to disseminate findings, encourage discussion, and gather feedback across the Western Balkans region.

Outcome:
Delivered a structured, internationally benchmarked queue management framework, providing actionable insights to improve transparency, efficiency, and consistency in the interconnection process for renewable energy projects.
