The project in a nutshell

Establishment of a national electricity market is an important step for the future operation of the power sector in Albania. In addition to the day-ahead-market, it is necessary to establish a balancing market mechanism.

Within this project, Elia Grid International provides consultancy services on design and implementation of the balancing market as well as training, technical, regulatory and legal assistance to develop, establish and operationalize a working balancing market for Albania.
